Hi! My name is Jeff Nagle, and I’m a historian of environment, technology, and labor in the twentieth century United States.

I am a PhD candidate in the History and Sociology of Science at the University of Pennsylvania, where I’m writing a dissertation about small-town environmental crisis, automated cities, and Samy Elias’ planned future of Morgantown, West Virginia. I’m also a trained and experienced oral historian who’s worked on the history of pollution, protest, and urban renewal in southwest Philadelphia. Before that, I was a reading intervention specialist and worked in used books.

See you around!
